A documentary produced by Tommy Haines, JT Haines Andrew Sherburne and Nick Deutsch, is more that just a flick about pond hockey. It's about the importance of kids being kids, having places to play, whatever sport, without being over supervised and over organized. From an educator's point of view, it makes me think about PE vs. the play ground. And as a corporate leader, I think about all those times my teams had the opportunity for an impromptu celebration, but we waited until it "could be put on the company calendar". Opportunities lost. Whether you work with kids or adults, "Let the kids play!" should be our daily mantra. I wonder how much more productive and focused we would be in an atmosphere of fun rather than a dungeon of doom.
Vettura in Italian means "coach" and that is what we do - coach people to improve personally, professionally and as members of organizations. Shelly Larson, M.Ed. is a dynamic leader and fitness enthusiast with over 30 years of experience and training in public, private and for-profit institutions working with students, athletes, educators, and employees as individuals for the greater good.
